Anton Travinsky

Graduate Senator

Year: 3rd year PhD
Major: Imaging Science
Hometown: Ryazan (Russia)

Hey everyone! My name is Anton and I am your Graduate Senator. I am from a small town in Russia called Ryazan. I love to do anything that involves being outside: hiking, kayaking, snowboarding, and just camping. I am really excited that I get to represent you as your Graduate Senator. My undergrad and graduate studies were both in engineering, so I am familiar with campus life and the usual problems of graduate students in STEM fields. I am fairly new to the US – I came here 2.5 years ago to get my PhD in Imaging Science. My main goal as Graduate Senator is to help graduate students at RIT to achieve their professional and personal goals, while making the graduate school experience at RIT easier and more fun. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have problems, questions, or suggestions – academic-related or campus life.
