Director of Operations – OPEN FOR SPRING AND FALL 2018
Assist in the transition from one administration to the next, update and maintain the Student Government Bylaws and other policies, staff and supervise Student Government internal committees, maintain all Student Government documentation, and record minutes at Senate, Cabinet and Senators meetings. We are looking for someone who is detailed oriented, has strong organizational skills and is thorough in documentation to ensure a smooth transition between SG administrations.
Director of Finance – OPEN FOR SPRING 2018
Create, manage, and update the Student Government budget. Distribute funds to clubs and organizations, by participating in all three Finance Committees; Greek Finance Committee, Club Sports Federation, and SG Finance Committee. We are looking for someone who can evaluate current spending and help us effectively use Student Activities Fees.
Director of Services – OPEN FOR SPRING 2018
Manage, improve, and create SG Services, including SG Sites, Bikeshare, RITpedia, Break Bus, OpenEvals, etc. We are looking for someone who is detailed oriented and has a vision for improving and creating services that benefit the entire student body.
SG Bylaws, Director of PR
a. Shall report to the President.
b. Shall chair and coordinate the Public Relations team, including but not limited to, the photographer, and designer(s).
c. Shall work with the Director of Operations to ensure all online information is correct and up-to-date.
d. Shall provide support for Public Relations Directors of other student organizations
e. Shall be responsible for regular advertising and promotion of all Student events and initiatives
f. Shall be responsible for marketing Student Government and updating students as to Student Government’s progress and accomplishments.
g. Shall oversee the production of all external literature published by the Student Government
h. Shall assist the President and Director of Finance in preparing a budget for the Public Relations team.
To be a member of SG Cabinet you must:
- Be a full-time matriculated student at RIT.
- Be full-time for the 2017-2018 academic year.
- In good academic standing (not on academic suspension or probation).
- Have a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or above.
- Not be on co-op or study abroad for the entirety of the academic year (Fall 2017 and Spring 2018).
- Completed at least two semesters at RIT (or will by the end of this semester).
- Not carry a judicial sanction of disciplinary probation or a more severe sanction (i.e. deferred suspension).

The Director of Public Relations manages the SG Design Team and Marketing Materials, all advertising and SG’s social media. We are looking for someone who can analyze and create a solid strategic communication for Student Government going forward, including email communications, social media, printed materials, and more!
This position averages 15-20 hours per week. This is a paid stipend position, with other perks like swag, office spaces, and great networking.

Director of Operations
The Director of Operations directly oversees the Committee system for SG, and ensures that proper documentation is kept for all positions to facilitate transitions. Please submit a one page (max) document detailing a time you were leading/managing a team: how did you keep track of the work that was done by each team member, and how did you organize all documentation? Additionally, submit sample minutes that you’ve taken at any meeting. If you have no previous minutes to submit, you are welcome to come to any SG committee or Senate meeting to take minutes for your submission

Director of Finance
Take a budget you have managed (borrow one if needed), and describe your methodology to organize the finances. Describe your thought process and any difficult decisions that needed to be made. Suggest ways to improve this budget, and how you would go about improving the process.

Director of Services
The Director of Services manages and creates SG Services. Please review the current Services offerings (you can find them on our website, or email our current Director of Services at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information) and create a plan for what improvements you would make to the Services, and if you have any ideas for new Services.
You will also be managing a team of students to complete projects, please write a short paragraph explaining your Project Management style.
