Women’s Senator

Year: 3rd
Major: Metals and Jewlery Design / Premed
Hometown: Rochester, NY

Hi! I hope all is well with you! I’m a 3rd year student majoring in Metals and Jewelry Design, dual majoring with SOIS studying Premed. I believe all things in life are intertwined, whether it be involvement on campus or community service off campus, it ties back to selflessness, the building process and service to the people. For example, working with glass and metals betters my understanding in chemistry and the way it works, which enhances my understanding of the interconnectedness and delicateness of the human body. Women empowering other women builds positivity and that spreads it, that supports it. Meeting new people and listening to different stories makes you more aware, in turn, it makes you more understanding and considerate of what those around you are going through or have went through. All in all, we build ourselves the way we want to, whether it be starting from the ground up, halfway up, or fixing our structure. That may mean we have to break our structures down to build from a stronger base. Or we might already have a strong base and just need to keep going up. Nonetheless, we just have to remember to build, whatever happens, just keep building and never give up.

To represent to the interests of the student body through the implementation of innovative programs, services, and initiatives that enrich student lives. We will be the primary source of advocacy for students from Rochester Institute of Technology and we will utilize our shared governance structure to voice student opinion and concern. RIT Student Government will be the forefront of change within the university.
